The thing with fairytales

"...they sets a girl up for disappointment. In real life the prince goes off with the wrong princess.
Or the spell wears off... and discover that they were much better off, as well whatever they are."

Along with many other analogys.. my girlfriend and I are in the library studying for Board Exams/GRE's. It seems that our 'between study' talks direct to the acts of idiocy of (some, most) male minds. If only females could only and easily just talk about who they have "banged" and who they will "bone" the following night.

And with that, I changed my desktop picture to a brooding and angry 'i-hate-boys' picture... This one is one of my favorites! It makes me chuckle...

Good study break. Back to practicing essay writing!
Prompt THIS: "An idea alone, no matter how great, is meaningless unless it is put into practice".

and then all of Toronto was like, "wtfery!"

There... was an earthquake... in Toronto?

Yesssummm... magnitude of 5.5! WTFERY
Imagine me throwing a temper tantrum at work becuase I didn't feel it. Don't be upset thought... it was short lived. My upset wavered when I walked outside into the surprise of sunshine! *twirls.

I am currently listening to Lulu's Lips by Grass Widow (my new musical love) which makes me want to wear moccassins and have a picnic on a patch of grass. Any takers?
This week I discovered Stereomood from my friend. It is so amazing, it has a playlist for so many moods, I haven't experienced a mood this week that this website doesn't have. Stereomood is taking over my iTunes.

Hey, Soul Sister

...and it's the weekend again!

So this week between studying for my GRE, I've been pretty hardcore with working out and I think all my hard work went out the window. I just got back from All-you-can-eat sushi with Erica. I could vomit right now.

Speaking of GRE's - interesting word of the day:
Sycophant: A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people.
Usage: "You are a sycophant!"

I would love to hit NYC in the near future... one of the galleries I was dying to check out... I only found out that Rosson Crow for Deitch Projects closed last week. :( FFUUUU
Bowery Boys. Artist - Rosson Crow
UPSETTNIG... SOOOO VERY UPSETTING. *stomps foot.

You... Internet. Sucky.

I was watching the Balenciaga show for F/W 2010-2011... when my internet stopped its streaming and froze. I just cursed for a moment and then proceeded...

My goal this summer is to spend less on entertainment (food) and budget more for investments -such as SHOES and bags. Hmmm... Balenciaga shoes...??

ph: Balenciaga.com

I am a HUGGEE fan of chunky heels, they make most outfits look better. I may just be slightly swaying against stilettos. Don't get me wrong, I like everything with a heel but I usually feel like I'm too butch for stilettos -_-

Proenza Shouler... when I am a little sad/unhappy/bored (with the suckage of my internet), I tend to flip through the collections. Here are a few of my fav outfits from the Pre Fall 2010 Collection.

ph: proenzaschouler.com

I WANT EVERYTHING IN THIS COLLECTION. It's like a closet for grownup women in the real world, with a "I dont' have to dress like a boring buisness woman, so F off" touch. I want it all...

Just for fun becuase when I dream (and it is usually summer in my dreams), I am wearing this. Frolicking around in a field where yellow grass grows knee high. With Paul Walker.

Chloe

Amanda Syefried in Chloe was great. I was a fan of hers when she played Karen in Mean Girls and fell more in love with her on Big Love. I was excited for her when I found out she would be the lead, Chloe-her character in the movie is so unpredictable and edge. Looveee.
The movie itself was alright, but Amanda made it that much better. I was also happy to see that the movie protrayed Toronto and didn't attempt to mask all of its glory. Toronto always gets whored out to pretend be Chicago, New York, San Fransisco or another metropolis. We FINALLY see the Toronto as it's own character in this movie. And.. Amanda is beautiful.
